Kingsknowe Golf Club is a lively and friendly club situated in the south west of Edinburgh, only 10 minutes from the city centre, and 5 minutes from the M8 and M9 Motorways. Established in 1908 the club has an 18 hole golf course, originally designed by Alec Herd the 1902 Open champion, and later redesigned by James Braid.
The club is open to members of all ages and welcomes visitors to the course. Kingsknowe provides wide ranging services and activities for both members and neighbouring residents including 18 holes on a great parkland course; Monthly Medals and a variety of competitions to suit all standards of golfer; a PGA Professional and Shop with teaching and coaching provided by Chris Morris; a Practice Ground and all weather practice chipping and putting green; on-line tee booking system for members; Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks available every day from Food Creations; Free Hire of Function and Business Facilities; televised events on our 65" HD TV; and monthly social events in the Clubhouse, as well as a Family Fun Day, Children's Christmas Party, Christmas Fair, Club Dinners and more.
We are always looking to improve our services and facilities and in the first instance, all proceeds from the Sports Club Lottery will go towards the improvement of facilities at KGC for the benefit of everyone.
How it works
The Lottery results are calculated using the temperatures from selected destinations around Europe on a particular day each week.
Players are assigned 6 numbers when registering, that are then checked against the last 6 digits of temperatures in Fahrenheit that are published in the Daily Mail on the day of the draw.
